$495  for the first hour prepaid to book then $250 minimum spend for each additional hour payable on premise the night of your event.

Available Sunday-Wednesday from 6pm. 

Thursday-Saturdays are fully committed for our own Italian Bar events.

Join sommelier and owner Carolyn Papetti the second Thursday of each month for a  guided Italian wine tasting.

6pm-7:30pm

Attendees sample four wines with some light snacks.

Limited to 16 people. Tickets are limited and must be pre-purchased. 

The format is casual in nature and the wine presentation will be done per each group/couple/single as they arrive. As such, it is not necessary to arrive at 6pm sharp but please don't arrive after 7pm!

Secure one of just five intimate tables for a self-guided tasting flight featuring the very wines we poured at this month’s event. You’ll enjoy four 3 oz pours (essentially two glasses of wine total), paired with a light snack as you work your way through the tasting at your own pace.

Read our tasting notes, compare impressions, and then put your palate to the test with a short wine quiz for a chance to win a complimentary bottle of wine.

Great wine, an intimate setting, and hopefully a fun companion to imbibe with!

Want to make a full Italian evening of it? Start with a wine tasting at the Italian Bar, then stroll next door to I’m Eddie Cano for some of the best Italian food in the nation’s capital. And if the wine has you feeling a little conversational, feel free to practice your Italian with the owners and staff — many are native Italian speakers and most of the team speaks at least a bit of Italian.

Please note:  we have only five tables available, and each table seats TWO PEOPLE MAX. No tables for three or four. So grab a friend, your favorite wine-loving companion, or perhaps someone you’ve been wanting to know a little better. Tables are reserved for multiple self-guided tastings throughout the evening and each reservation has a 75-minute seating time.

Step into the spirited world of Italian after-dinner tradition with an exclusive guided dopo cena Amaro Tasting at the Italian Bar.

Everyone has an amaro soulmate — and tonight, we’ll help you find  yours. Our library features more than 26 amari, and during this guided  tasting you’ll sample four distinct half-ounce pours while learning  about the history, flavors, and traditions behind Italy’s beloved  digestivi. 

This experience is not intended to get you tipsy — it’s  designed the Italian way: four small pours meant to be savored slowly  and traditionally enjoyed to help aid digestion after a meal.

And no need to brace yourself — this isn’t grappa. Many amari recipes  date back more than 200 years and were crafted to be a smooth,  palate-pleasing finish to a meal while traditionally aiding digestion.

Prepare to discover an entirely new world of Italian sipping culture and epicurean delight.

Please note: tastings are scheduled throughout the evening, so  we kindly ask guests to arrive on time for their reserved slot. Each  tasting experience is designed for up to 8 people and will last  approximately 30 minutes.

 Oysters on the Avenue is back this summer on the fourth Thursday of June, July and August!

Prebook your beautiful, briny mollusks and pay for drinks as you go.  Born in the summer of 2025 from an oyster education fundraiser, Oysters  on the Avenue quickly evolved into a monthly gathering of neighbors,  friends and new acquaintances.

The tasting is “blind” as guests are served three oysters from one  East Coast region and three from another. At the end of the evening,  attendees vote for their favorite before the winning oyster is revealed.

Your ticket includes:
• Half dozen oysters
• Professional oyster shucker
• All oyster accoutrements

Prosecco on tap, beer, wine and cocktails will be available for purchase.

Rain or shine — if the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll simply move the festivities indoors.
